About Certificate Costs and Aid

Certificate costs and aid eligibility will depend on a variety of factors including type of certificate you are enrolling in and how many credits you are taking.

What's the difference between Academic Certificates and Professional Certificates?

Academic Certificates earn academic credit like any other degree program at Evergreen. Courses you take on the way to earning an academic certificate are subject to undergraduate tuition rates. Costs will depend on your student status and the number of credits you enroll in.

Professional Certificates earn Continuing Education Credits and are made up of courses not offered as part of the regular curriculum at Evergreen. These programs have different costs and fees associated with them as they are often in partnership with external agencies.

Financial Aid Eligibility and Other Aid

Your student status and the number of credits you enroll in will determine your financial aid eligibility. Academic certificate courses are subject to the same financial aid policies as other courses and programs at Evergreen.

Admitted Students

If you're a fully admitted student seeking a bachelor's degree in addition to a certificate, you are eligible for financial aid. You can use your financial aid toward academic certificate courses when you take at least 6-credits per quarter.

Non-Admitted Students

Non-admitted students are not eligible for financial aid at Evergreen. Non-admitted students pay full tuition rates according to the costs per credit earned.
