I was a classically trained ballerina and had a professional dance career for over 25 years. I currently teach Core Ballet, Contemporary Dance and Dance Immersion. I graduated with a BA from TESC in 1990 and in 2020 I received my MA from Goddard College, Port Townsend, WA. I am certified in the Gyrontonic Method, Pilates, and am a certified facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie. I was a practicing massage therapist for 15 years and ran a sports clinic in Stratton, VT. I was director of Golden Oak Triad, an arts organization in Olympia, WA for 15 years. I am director of the Northwest Dance Intensive since 2009. In 1995 I received the Becky Jo Hellman award for my contribution to the arts. I have owned and operated multiple dance schools, and dance companies, as well as have been an international ballet instructor. I am a master trainer of the Beamish Bodymind Balancing Technique and run all certification courses.

Teaching Style

I believe in offering information and then providing a classroom environment where students can engage in the application of such information. Students are encouraged to find their own conclusions and usefulness of the information through direct experience.
