This course offers a deep and reflective exploration of movement through the lens of Contemporary Dance—a fluid, expressive, and ever-evolving form. Rooted in authentic movement and personal inquiry, students will engage in practices that foster self-awareness, embodiment, and creative expression. Drawing from a range of influences including modern, lyrical, jazz, ballet, and improvisation, the class encourages students to discover their own unique movement vocabulary. Live art elements may be introduced as part of the creative process. No prior dance experience is required—only a willingness to move, reflect, and explore.

The first class meeting will be remote via Zoom; students will be expected to review some materials prior to the first class meeting. Please contact the faculty for details.
