Hello, my name is Jeffrey Callen. I am a full-time faculty member in the Master of Public Administration at The Evergreen State College. I teach core classes in the MPA program (Tribal Governance and Olympia cohorts so far) and electives in Tacoma and Olympia. Previously, I was faculty in the Master of Public Administration at Idaho State University before being employed as Senior Planner for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of the Fort Hall Reservation, Idaho. While working for the Tribes I assisted with their Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, COVID-19 response, and broadband development.

Teaching Style

Education is a lifelong conversation where the classroom is just a part. I strive to meet students where they are in that conversation by bringing in topics and skills from a wide variety of fields that are relevant, useful, and interesting in the study and practice of public administration.
