About the Pool

The Evergreen State College Pool is a half Olympic sized pool designed for competition. Typical orientation with the diving blocks allows for 11 lanes with each lap being 25 yards long. The deepest part of the main pool is 8 feet and the shallowest section is 4 feet deep. Water temperature is kept within competition pool temperature range of around 79 - 82F.

Swim and Diving Access

  • Lap Swimming is available during all open hours with 9 open lanes. (During swim lessons there are only 7 lanes available for lap swimming.)
  • The Dive Well and diving board are only open in the evenings and may be closed if there is insufficient staffing.
  • For all other types of Water Exercises there is a 2-lane wide area with accessible stairs.

Items available to pool users

An assortment of toys, gear and floats are available to pool users like:

  • Aqua Jogging Belts
  • Fins
  • Kick Boards
  • Life Jackets
  • Pool Noodles
  • Pool Toys
  • Pull Buoys
  • Watermelon Ball
  • Water Volleyball
  • and More!

No large inflatables or double-fins allowed during open swim times.

Saunas

The saunas are currently closed for repairs and remain closed until further notice.

Facility Rentals

Requests for full-facility rentals are limited and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. For facility rental information, call or email the College Recreation Center.
