Have you ever had a dream that you wanted to pursue, but didn't know where to begin? Have you ever been in the middle of a project, but couldn't see your next steps forward? In the opening pages of The World We Used to Live In, renowned scholar Vine Deloria Jr. says, "In the spirit world, there might be a wonderland of possibilities, but until an idea takes on flesh and demonstrates its significance, the universe does not appear at all." In this course we’ll discuss literature by Indigenous writers and engage in generative writing exercises to explore how our human creativity provides a pathway for thoughts and dreams to take shape in the material world. This course is open to all levels of writers and creative thinkers, everyone is welcome. Class will be remote via zoom/Canvas on Wednesdays 6-9pm.
