This offering provides an opportunity for students seeking additional mentorship, structure, and time in the summer to synthesize previous learning into a cohesive, individualized project. Depending on each student’s goals, emphasis can be placed on refining their academic or creative voice, building transferable skills, and preparing materials most relevant to their path—such as writing samples, creative portfolios (including photography, visual art, or other media), or project proposals—for scholarship or graduate school applications, or other advancement opportunities.

We will meet once per week, remotely, for a flexible, low-pressure group check-in. These sessions may include structured independent work time, peer feedback, guided exercises, and faculty support, with each meeting shaped by the evolving needs of the group. Whether you're looking for thoughtful critique, a bit of structure, or simply the quiet motivation that comes from showing up with others, these gatherings will offer the kind of accountability and camaraderie that can transform a solitary task into something more sustainable—and even enjoyable. Working alongside others helps spark momentum, clarify thinking, and make space for insight, humor, and the occasional breakthrough. You're not expected to have it all figured out—just to bring your curiosity and a willingness to keep going.

While this offering is primarily intended for students continuing work from either Applying Psychology to Career Design: A Journey Through the Labyrinth of Growth or Adventures in Stillness: Exploring the Pacific Northwest through Photography and Creative Processes, any student interested in joining this working group is encouraged to contact the faculty as early as possible to explore participation with this working group.
