Spanish Second Year II is designed for students with basic conversational Spanish language skills. Students are expected to engage and readily participate in conversational activities, be capable of communicating with complete and correct structures, and be able to read, comprehend, and summarize most of the information included in the reading materials.
The course will focus on strengthening conversational skills through a review of selected grammatical topics including: pretérito-imperfecto; imperativo-afirmativo-negativo; presente-pasado de subjuntivo; and other topics as needed. Students should be able to communicate complex ideas and engage in conversation with ease at the end of the quarter.
The fall and winter accelerated second year sequence is the equivalent of a complete second year Spanish sequence.
