Anatomy and Physiology I studies the structures and related functions of the human body through lecture and laboratory. Learn to communicate with anatomical terminology and identify the levels of body organization including cells, tissues and the organs of major body systems including the integumentary (skin), skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. Includes a review of biological chemistry. Emphasis will be placed on real-world application for each body system. This hybrid model delivers active asynchronous lectures through Canvas and weekly synchronous meetings online (Zoom), combined with laboratory work using Visible Body anatomy software and specified weekend sessions on campus meeting in person. Available dissection experiences include fetal pig, brain (sheep) and eye (cow.)
