Intro to Outdoor Ropes
Biweekly on Mondays and Fridays, Climbing Program
Join for an introduction to outdoor rock climbing in North Bend. Exit 38 provides beginning to expert climbs for everyone to enjoy and find challenges. Learn foundational outdoor rope-climbing skills in a supported setting. (During registration, select the session days you plan to attend.)

Transportation will be provided by Evergreen van or arranged carpool. Sign up ahead of time to secure a seat in a vehicle.
Gear Available for Rent
TOP offers affordable outdoor equipment check-outs for Evergreen's students, staff and faculty. A wide variety of gear is available, but equipment availability is limited. Contact TOP for checkout procedures, fit or sizing questions, and current availability.

Climb at the CRC
Enjoy the Climbing Gym
The CRC has a great bouldering climbing gym open during regular CRC hours.
- Students can drop by and climb during open hours
- Join weekly identity-based climbing nights
- Connect through the climbing club
- Participate in introductory climbing classes and skill workshops throughout the quarter
General Information
Attending TOP activities
Cost and Fees
Trip fees vary based on location, duration and activity type. The fees only cover direct costs such as food, campsites, permits and transportation.
If cost is a barrier to your participation, the Clean Energy Committee fee reduction program is available. Applying only takes a few minutes! Submit a Trip Reduction Request Form to TOP by email.
Pre-Trip Meetings
Pre-trip meetings cover logistics and safety for your trip. Find out what you’ll need to bring and what to expect. If your schedule conflicts with the meeting time, email TOP to schedule a meeting to review the material.
Gear and Food
TOP staff will bring group gear like tents and cook stoves. At the pre-trip meeting, you'll get a packing list detailing anything you need to bring. If you don't have required clothing or equipment, we've got you covered! The rental cost of the gear is included in your trip fee.
Meals are provided for all overnight trips. If you have special dietary needs, let us know! We have lots of experience creating delicious and satisfying meals for virtually every eater.
Refunds
We only issue trip fee refunds if the trip is canceled.
