Olympia, WA - Evergreen is proud to announce a series of events to introduce this year’s academic theme: Public College, Public Good. We are excited to invite our community to reflect on the vital role public institutions play in defending and expanding the public good, especially in the face of rising global authoritarianism.

Through two public events and additional programming throughout the year, Evergreen encourages active engagement, thoughtful dialogue, and collective action in response to today’s most pressing challenges. These events, presented by Evergreen’s Cal Anderson Memorial Lecture Series and the Olympia World Affairs Council (OWAC), will bring together leading voices in journalism and global education to engage the community in timely discussions.

Public Events

These events are open to all; students, faculty, staff, and community members, offering opportunities to turn your interests into action. Whether you're committed to social justice, environmental advocacy, education, or global engagement, you can discover how passion meets purpose by connecting with community partners and exploring ways to make a meaningful impact.
