Program Overview
The Native Creative Development Program™ supports enrolled Tribal visual artists who have built a foundation in one visual art form and are ready to deepen their artistic practice.
- Individual Artist Projects: Up to $5,000
- Mentorship Projects: Up to $10,000
Projects should focus on one primary visual art form and include hands-on learning, dedicated time to practice, and the creation of new work.
Who Can Apply
Eligible Tribal visual artists living in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. See the 2026 Native Creative Development Program™ Packet for eligibility requirements.
Important Dates
- Application Opens: August 25, 2026
- Application Closes: November 1, 2026, at 11:59 pm (PST)
- Award Notification: December 15, 2026
- Project Start Date: January 1, 2027
How to Apply
- Email the Program Specialist to request the 2026 Native Creative Development Program™ Packet (includes application guidelines, instructions, and a fillable grant application form)
- Complete the application and gather your required attachments
- Submit your completed application and all required attachments to the Program Specialist by email
