The Art of Giving

Thank You for Believing in Our Bright Future

Reasons to Believe

Students come to Evergreen to find their own distinctive path, to embrace complexity, to learn across significant differences, to break down barriers between disciplines, and to tackle the world’s most difficult problems. In April, we began an ambitious four-week virtual scholarship drive, followed in May by our annual Art of Giving Gala and Auction to support Evergreen’s fiercely ambitious students on their chosen paths through The Evergreen Scholarship Fund. Thanks to outstanding donors like you, 127 renewable scholarships were created. Thank you for believing in our remarkable students and future leaders and for your generous gift to the Art of Giving.

Forever Green

Evergreen, in partnership with The Evergreen State College Foundation, has launched its first college-wide fundraising campaign, Forever Green, to raise $55+ million for students and programs, including the Art of Giving.

"Not only am I supported financially, which allots more time for deep engagement with my work, but I also feel supported mentally and emotionally... this award proves the Evergreen faculty and staff genuinely believe in the transformative power my presence brings to campus; that my academic efforts are proficient and display the skills needed to create critical work; and that my professional, public service goals are accomplishable and will be paying homage to one of Evergreen’s greatest thinkers."

About the Art of Giving

The Evergreen State College Foundation’s annual fundraiser, brings together donors, alumni, friends and businesses to celebrate student potential and build support for transformational scholarships at Evergreen. It helps ensure that students can stay in school, earn their degrees, and contribute to the vitality of our region and our world. Proceeds from the Art of Giving add to the College’s ability to support first-generation college students, students of color, veterans, adult learners, and other populations facing barriers to pursuing the outstanding liberal arts education Evergreen offers.
