"Evergreen's unique learning environment was key to my success during and after my Master's in Environmental Studies. In no other college have I found the openness of professional connections, world class technological training, and opportunity for personal growth. Their student-led academic pathways and thesis development encourages students to be self-empowered well read professionals in their area of study, creating scientific powerhouses of highly self-motivated researchers.

In the short time since graduating I have been published multiple times in Killer Whale ecology papers, worked with all Washington tribes on salmon conservation, mapped reforestation in Borneo, created a global Gray Wolf recovery model with The National Geographic Society, started my own research non-profit, and worked to expose unsustainable fishing practices off the British Columbia coast with NGO Pacific Wild. I am currently continuing this research among many other projects while a full time dad to twin toddlers and rebuilding a vintage sailboat to take my research around the world on circumnavigation."
