I picked Evergreen for the unique opportunity it provides me to formally combine my love of nature, in-depth interdisciplinary learning, and creative expression.

I love the environment at Evergreen-- the nature, the connections between peers, and the learning community.

I look up to and have great respect for the faculty and the ways in which they've been able to harness their multiple interests and disciplines into careers that better themselves and others.

While I've always loved school, due to my upbringing and earlier circumstances I've had trouble truly making the most of my education in the past. Now that I'm ready to pursue my passions, scholarships provide me with assistance in making the most of the time I have at Evergreen, helping me to pay for my campus housing and tuition without compromising my ability to further my education in graduate school.

I've had an enjoyable and fulfilling work-study position with the Technology Support team for over a year now. I also enjoy attending and participating in student-run clubs. This year I hope to help out with the entirely student-run Chibi Chibi Con again. Last year I was able to participate in the Geoduck Student Union's Lobby Day.

I hope to graduate from Evergreen with a Bachelor of Arts and Science and continue my education in graduate school to work towards a career in science.
