What You'll Learn

This two-quarter entry-level certificate will teach you the core skills used to create promotional videos for the web and other marketing purposes.  

You’ll learn about: 

  • Video production 
  • Project management 
  • Messaging strategies 
  • Storyboarding 
  • Recording 
  • Editing 
  • and more! 

In the second half of the certificate, you’ll work with a client outside Evergreen to produce a promotional video according to their needs.  By the end of the certificate, you’ll have a couple projects to add to your portfolio. 

Certificate Requirements

This certificate requires: 

  • Access to a computer
  • High-speed internet
  • Microphone 
  • Smart phone and/or camera to create videos 
  • $50 lab fee each quarter charged with tuition (this covers audio visual rentals)

Access to Adobe suite software will be provided by Evergreen. Access to audio visual rentals can be arranged through Media Loan

Certificate Coursework

This certificate consists of 16 undergraduate credits. The following course takes place over two quarters, and begins in Fall.

Introduction to Promotional Video - Fall and Winter Quarter, 8 credits each quarter.
