Spanish Second Year II is designed for students with existing conversational skills who are ready to deepen their fluency. This course focuses on intensive conversation, reading, and writing, with a specific emphasis on mastering the Subjunctive mode in both present and past tenses. Using a curated series of articles on Latin American and Hispanic cultures, students will bridge the gap between basic communication and the ability to handle complex, abstract ideas. This term serves as essential preparation for Spring quarter, where students will analyze short stories and current news to produce analytical papers.
