Precalculus I is a problem-solving-based and rigorous overview of functions that model change. We will cover a variety of functions (linear, polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic) and represent them algebraically, numerically, graphically, and verbally. There will be an emphasis on context-based problem solving, collaborative learning, and developing mathematical thinking. Students who successfully complete precaclulus I will be prepared for precalculus II. A graphing calculator is required.
Collaborative learning will be a fundamental component of the course.
