This course equips health administration professionals in public sector and non-profit settings with essential skills for ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery. Students will examine outcomes and assessment of healthcare services, focusing on metrics such as wait times, productivity, safety, and cost reduction. Key topics include risk management strategies, compliance with internal and external regulatory bodies, and the development of coordinated quality improvement programs. Students will learn to drive continuous quality improvement and ensure effective healthcare services in diverse organizational environments.

This class will meet synchronously for 4 hours per week. Students should expect additional homework during the week.

This is the second of three sequential courses comprising the Health Administration: Finance and Quality Management Certificate at Evergreen. Completing this course satisfies the prerequisite requirement for Health Administration: Advanced Topics in Measurement and Evaluation.
