In this culminating course, students will integrate the knowledge and skills developed throughout the certificate program to complete an individual capstone project and create a professional portfolio. The course will support you in developing, refining, and presenting design work that reflects your interests, strengths, and emerging professional goals.
In Graphic Design III, you will receive guidance in portfolio development, presentation strategies, and professional practices while strengthening your ability to communicate design concepts and processes. Through project completion and portfolio creation, you will prepare for entry-level professional opportunities, continued learning, and the presentation of your work in a professional context.
In order toparticipate in this remote-learning course, you will need access to a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, a multi-core processor, and a minimum of 8GB RAM. You will also need a digital camera (phone camera is fine), reliable access to the internet, and a flat working surface.
We will use the course site Canvas and meet on Zoom. Synchronous participation in the three-hour class session is required. Youcan expect to spend an additional 4-6 hours per week completingassignments.
This is the final of three core courses that comprise the Graphic Design Fundamentals Certificate at Evergreen. Courses must be taken in sequential order.
