In this engaging class, students will gain a foundational knowledge of French grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation skills, with an emphasis on understanding and speaking French in real-life situations. The native French instructor will interweave material on French and Francophone music, film, food, geography, art, and historical sites as students learn about contemporary French society and culture.

Students will practice their conversation skills by working regularly in small groups. To successfully participate in this program, students will need a reliable internet connection to access course activities (synchronous and asynchronous) and content. Our work will be conducted remotely, using Zoom, Canvas and YouTube.
