This French language course is the continuation of First Year French I. Students need to have taken 1 quarter of college French or 2 years of High School French. The course emphasizes mastery of fundamental skills through the study of grammatical structures and communicative activities. Classes use immersion style learning and students are surrounded in class by authentic French with videos and music. You will engage in all four language skills consistently: listening, speaking, reading and writing. You will develop accurate pronunciation, build a useful vocabulary, work regularly in small groups and learn conversational skills. Classes are lively and fast-paced with a wide variety of creative, fun activities including music, poetry, role-play. Through aloud reading, practice and small discussions in French, you will acquire increased vocabulary proficiency, accurate pronunciation and fluidity.
