This course introduces students to foundational academic skills while guiding them through early career exploration and professional readiness. Emphasizing curiosity, self‑discovery, and intentional planning, the class helps students identify their personal strengths, values, and interests and understand how these elements can shape future academic and career choices.

Course topics include identifying personal and work values, exploring strengths and interests, conducting informational interviews, and learning about high‑impact practices such as internships and study abroad. Students will engage in reflective writing practices that support their growth as learners and emerging professionals. They will craft and revise their Academic Statements to refine their educational pathways and articulate emerging career goals.  As well as developing academic strategies for setting and achieving meaningful learning goals.
