Using the works of Queen Hatshepsut, Kathrine Dunham, Beyonce, Charles Bibbs, Langston Hughes, Jacob Lawrence, Marcia Tate Arunga, W. Joye Hardiman and Karen Akuyea Vargas as exemplars, students will expand their knowledge of local and global cultural custodianship and deepen their research, collaboration, entrepreneurial, documentation, storyboarding, archiving and “in it but not of it" skills through class attendance, self-reflection, improvisational theater workshops, , seminar discussions, and process recording.

Students will demonstrate their learning through the creation of an Action Plan Screening (a public multimedia presentation of their research) that envision their activities as a Cultural Custodial/ Building for Eternity. Students will be mentored throughout the quarter by Visiting Arts-Activist, Historian & Entrepreneur Mr. Bobby Foutier.
