Student-Originated Studies: Media Projects is a flexible, student-driven course offered Winter '27 for intermediate and advanced students ready to design and carry out their own media projects. Students enroll for 4–12 credits and must submit an individualized syllabus for approval by Week 10 of Fall Quarter. Beyond the curriculum they develop, students are expected to attend weekly check-ins with faculty and fellow SOS participants to share progress, workshop ideas, and discuss upcoming work. Students will also document their process through weekly reflections or production logs and complete a final self-evaluation summarizing their learning and accomplishments. Projects may include short films, documentary or experimental pieces, audio works, motion graphics, interactive media, or hybrid forms. This SOS is ideal for motivated students seeking structured mentorship, accountability, and a creative community as they develop or produce original media work.
Schedule: The schedule for this offering will be determined with the faculty.
