This advanced-level course will focus on techniques and concepts associated with photographic production. Building on student's existing understanding of photography techniques and working with an existing portfolio of photo-based work, this course will consider the material form of photographs - how they are presented and ways in which viewers will interact with them. The class will study approaches to installation and exhibition of contemporary art. Considering these studies, students will work towards an installation of their own body over work over the course of the quarter culminating in a group exhibition featuring the work of all students in the class.

Project outcomes will vary based on the interests of the class. Topics may include bookmaking, projection, performance, methods of printing, framing and more.
