One of the biggest issues facing the nonprofit sector today is quality of management. Nonprofits are faced with a multitude of challenges, and the leaders of today’s nonprofits must be prepared to face a complex, ever-changing environment. This program is designed to provide current and future nonprofit leaders with an overview of nonprofit management concerns and practices. Course projects and discussions will provide students the opportunity to expand their management abilities, presentation skills, and analytical tools. Students will explore the perspectives of nonprofit volunteers, board members, policy makers, donors, and clients. The analysis of these perspectives will help students develop knowledge of accountability practices, management techniques, marketing, and communications specific to nonprofit organizations.
