In the evolving landscape of modern work environments, understanding and prioritizing mental health and well-being is crucial for both employers and employees. This course is designed to provide students with the tools and knowledge necessary to cultivate a supportive and mentally healthy workplace.

Students will learn to identify mental health challenges, such as recognizing and understanding common mental health issues that can affect employees and workplace dynamics. They will learn to implement effective support systems to promote mental well-being among employees, enhancing overall workplace productivity and satisfaction. The course also focuses on fostering a culture of well-being and inclusivity by equipping employees with tools and techniques to build resilience and effectively manage stress and burnout. This online course features a blend of synchronous sessions via Zoom and asynchronous learning activities through Canvas, providing a flexible and interactive learning experience.

Learning Objectives:

  • Students will learn to identify and understand common mental health challenges, such as stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout, that can affect employees and workplace dynamics.
  • Students will gain the ability to design and implement effective support systems and workplace policies that promote mental health and well-being among employees.
  • Students will learn how to cultivate an inclusive work culture that prioritizes psychological safety, open communication, and emotional support for employees.
