Geometry is about relationships and patterns that lie in shapes and figures. Figures and their parts reveal relationships through ratios in size. Shapes: triangles, circles, lines, angles are present in every picture and help us analyze composition. We will use shapes and figures to explore local and global commonalities, to understand the world around us, to delight the eye and the mind, to find deeper truths in all around us. This class will prepare students for teacher certification and provide a foundation for logical analysis and understandings in all fields of studies.

This course will help those planning to enter professions in education, law, political economics, environmental science, many of the social sciences, and health care.
