This 4-credit course exposes students to the extensive laws and regulations that affect almost all major aspects of business operations. For anyone entering business, it is important to have a fundamental understanding of the governing legal principles. This course will provide an introduction to the U.S. legal system, including the major aspects of contract law, business liability issues under tort law, intellectual property issues, and laws governing agency relationships, employment, and other structures of commercial enterprises.
Class will consist of 2 hours of synchronous meeting time each week, plus 2 hours of asynchronous learning and additional homework.
