Devised Theater and Physical Comedy is a survey course exploring several methods for creating performance through ensemble collaboration and movement-based performance. In this course, students will dive into the craft of physical storytelling by exploring how to create images and story using bodies in space. We will incorporate improvisation techniques to build scenes and games. Through physicality and play the course explores the comedic languages of slapstick, absurdity, and clown The course is designed for all ability levels and will include opportunities to present original characters and creations.
