This is a hands-on lab where students will learn bench skills needed to be proficient in a modern chemistry laboratory, with some overlap with biology. This includes making solutions, pipetting, accurately measuring volume and mass, preparation of materials, and essential safety details. The class will meet once a week with the goal of learning a new skill each week. This class is aimed at providing students with bench skills they may have missed during the pandemic, so that they will be prepared for further college level programs involving chemistry skills.
