Ham radio isn’t just a hobby. It’s a powerful, real-world skill. When phones, internet, and power systems fail, ham radio keeps working. Licensed operators provide critical communications during disasters, support public events, assist emergency responders, and connect communities when other systems go silent.
Beyond emergencies, ham radio builds technical skills, confidence, curiosity, and global connection. It’s hands-on learning at its best, combining science, problem-solving, teamwork, and service. And yes, it’s also just plain fun.
This course is a spark toward reviving the Evergreen Ham Radio Club, and you can help build it from the ground up. Learn a valuable skill, meet great people, and help restore a hands-on tradition that connects the campus, community, and wider world.
Grab a seat, bring your curiosity, and get ready to go live on the air! ???????
