The Neon Studio, located in the basement of Lab 2 (room 0222), is equipped with everything needed to fabricate neon. Students can learn to heat, bend, weld and anneal glass tubing using a ribbon burner, cannon fire and tipping torch. The studio is also used for lampworking and scientific glassblowing by contract with staff or faculty in the Visual Arts area. Neon courses are offered at least once each year, please check the online catalog for current offerings.
