Afternoon Breakout Sessions

Representatives of the Evergreen Prison Education Project core team will provide a brief overview highlighting the creation of the College’s liberation education, reentry, and resilience network. They will share some of the foundations and values guiding our work and planning taking place in the first few months of this exciting project.
The project overview will be followed by Evergreen Reentry Scholars lead, James Jackson, presenting Mass Incarceration by the Numbers and facilitating a panel featuring formerly incarcerated students and alumni sharing their educational pathways, barriers they faced, barriers they broke, and aha moments.
