Member of the core faculty and serves as the program’s director. Kevin worked as a wildlife biologist prior to graduate studies in history of science. He teaches history of ecology, Pacific Northwest history, and environmental communication.

Student Ambassadors
These current students are available to talk to you about their experiences in MES or to show you around campus. They attend info sessions, represent MES at local events, and meet with prospective students individually. To contact an Ambassador email them at mescommunications@evergreen.edu.
Carly Rose is a part time student in her second of three years in the MES program. Her interests in MES include Environmental Sociology and Environmental Justice.
Emilia Omerberg is a full time student in her second and final year of the MES program. Her interests in MES include wildlife conservation, specifically fisheries management and marine mammal research and rehabilitation.
Heidi Zarghami is a full time student in her second and final year of the MES program. Her interests in MES include eco-art, sustainable city design, and green infrastructure.
MESA Coordinators
Current students and members of the student group MESA, they are at the helm of MES's only student organization.
