The Evergreen State College will be awarding $1,000 scholarships to 10 lucky Greeners who have been vaccinated for COVID-19.

This is part of the “Shot of a Lifetime,” campaign and is being funded by Governor Inslee’s office as an incentive for Washingtonians to be vaccinated.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to be rewarded for doing something that is so much a part of the Evergreen community – taking action for the greater good,” said interim college president, John Carmichael.

Evergreen students can enter for this scholarship by uploading their vaccination card onto the college’s COVID-19 Health and Safety webpage. Other eligibility requirements include that students are Washington residents and recently completed at least six credits during Spring quarter.

Winners of the scholarships will be awarded at the end of the month.
