When The Evergreen State College closes due to inclement weather or other reasons, the best place for up to date, accurate information on the College's web site at www.evergreen.edu. Local and regional television and radio outlets are also notified, such as KGY 1240 AM in Olympia, the area's designated emergency station.

You can also call the main campus switchboard at anytime, 360-867-6000 and press 1 to hear the operating status of the Olympia campus.

Stations in Aberdeen - 1320 AM, Centralia - 1170 AM, Shelton - 1030 AM, as well as KIRO 710 AM and KOMO 1000 AM are notified.

Evergreen's Tacoma campus follows the Tacoma School District decision.

Students, faculty and staff should always evaluate the conditions where they are and make their own decisions about travel. In Washington, weather conditions can vary widely from location to location, sometimes just miles away.
