Tacoma Campus celebrates black history Feb. 17

The Evergreen State College's Tacoma Campus presents a black history celebration Saturday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m.

The event features drumming, African American libation, spoken word and music. Longtime faculty member and founder of the Tacoma Campus, Maxine Mimms will deliver a keynote address. A reception will follow.

Evergreen's Tacoma program is committed to providing junior and senior-level students with an interdisciplinary, reality-based, community-responsive liberal arts education.
