The Evergreen State College Named Only West Coast “Best Buy”in Fiske Guide to Colleges 2017

OLYMPIA, Wash. – The “Fiske Guide to Colleges 2017” has named The Evergreen State College as one of just 21 “Best Buy” public colleges in the United States, Canada and the U.K.  Evergreen is the only public college or university included from the West Coast and is one of just 46 institutions, public or private, on the list.

For more than thirty years, the “Fiske Guide to Colleges” has chosen a select group of schools noted for quality academic offerings and affordable cost for its annual Best Buy list. All of the Best Buy schools fall into the inexpensive or moderate price category and most have four- or five-star academics ratings.

The best-selling college guide was created by former New York Times education editor Edward B. Fiske.
