Brandon Anderson (MPA '18) was recently hired as the Legislative Director for the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA), IFPTE Local 2001.
Anderson will partner with the national and regional Legislative and Public Affairs committees to represent SPEEA on several legislative issues at the state and federal level.
Before earning his MPA with an emphasis in public policy, he received his bachelor’s degree in political science and government from St. Martin’s University. When asked about his experience at Evergreen, Anderson said, "The MPA program at Evergreen is truly one of a kind. The program jump-started my career in public policy, giving me the hard skills and expertise needed to excel and the confidence to pursue new leadership responsibilities. I am so grateful to have been a part of the program."
Prior to SPEEA, he worked in government relations for the Association of Washington Cities and previously worked at American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Council 28, based in Olympia. For AFSCME, he worked as an organizer and as a legislative and political action field coordinator.
