Meghan Doughty will be a full time faculty member at The Evergreen State College beginning Fall 2018. She earned her B.A. in History and Literature from Seattle University in 2010; MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics in 2013 and just completed her Ph.D. in Public Administration at American University. She also served as an AmeriCorps Volunteer in Sitka, AK from 2010-2012 and as a Research Assistant at the National Institute of Justice in the tribal crime and justice portfolio from 2015-2017.

Jeremy Mohn, current MPA student, starts this week as Evergreen's New Director of Government Relations. Jeremy has experience in the state legislature, recently working as the executive assistant to Senate Majority Leader Sharon Nelson.

July 27, 2018 marked the 55th anniversary of the Hyogo-Washington Friendship Agreement, which encourages closer ties through cultural and educational programs. The same day marked the 39th anniversary of the Evergreen-University of Hyogo Partnership, and the 21 year Evergreen-Hyogo Prefectural Agreement. MPA Doreen Swetkis and current MPA student Takaaki Shinohara joined the Delegation during their visit to Evergreen.
