MES Scholarship Application, 2021-2022
This application is for scholarships, tuition waivers, and fellowships for MES students for the 2021-2022 academic year (Fall 2021, Winter 2022 & Spring 2022). Please see the MES Costs and Financial Aid page for a description of the awards you can apply for in this application. The MES Scholarship Application must be submitted by February 1st, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. to receive priority consideration for available aid. Applications may be submitted after this date, but available funds may be exhausted or very limited. Apply for MES Scholarships even if you have yet to be accepted to the MES program. We will need to have received your completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid: financial aid application for eligible US citizens) or WASFA (Washington Application for State Financial Aid: financial aid application for eligible undocumented students) by the February 1st deadline in order to consider you for these funding opportunities.
Several awards included in this application require short essays that you must copy and paste into the form. Please be prepared with the essays you intend to submit before you begin this application.
File the FAFSA or WASFA 3-5 business days before the February 1st, 2021 deadline to be sure that the Financial Aid Office at Evergreen receives your application in time to meet the priority application deadline so that you may be considered for all available aid. FAFSA applications received after February 1st will not be considered for The Evergreen State College Need Grants or available tuition waivers, but will still be considered for scholarships and loans. WASFA eligible students will only be reviewed for Washington State funding resources and are not eligible
for federal loan aid. Students who submit their WASFA and meet the February 1st deadline will be considered for tuition waivers, scholarships and fellowships. It is highly recommended that you complete the FAFSA or WASFA by January 25th to ensure it is processed by the February 1st deadline.
All on-time FAFSA and WASFA applicants will be considered for partial tuition waivers based on financial need. For questions about the FAFSA or WASFA, student loans, or Evergreen Need Grants, please contact the Evergreen Financial Aid Office at finaid@evergreen.edu or (360) 867-6205. For specific questions about MES scholarships please contact MES Assistant Director Averi Azar at averi.a.azar@evergreen.edu.
Please note that available funds for MES awards and 2021-2022 tuition and fees are subject to Washington State Legislature budget adjustments, and to changes by The Evergreen State College Board of Trustees and The Evergreen State College Foundation. Notification of MES awards begins after April 1st, 2021. Federal and private loans, partial tuition waivers, and The Evergreen State College Need Grants are awarded by the Financial Aid Office.
