Student Assistance Coordinator
Student Assistance Coordinator provides intentional and direct student support to aid students in navigating transition, systems, and processes for holistic health, well-being, and success. Our main focus is on the psychosocial and behavioral problems that may interfere with successful functioning.
Services provided by Student Assistance Coordinator, includes but is not limited to:
- Student Success Planning & Coaching
- Skill Development & Wellbeing Education
- Care Coordination & Community Referrals
- Early Intervention--CARE Team Support
- Student Centered Advocacy & Support
- Consultation & Training to Campus Community
Working with the Student Assistance Coordinator is voluntarily and can be accessed through Student Wellness Services. Students may be asked to work with the SAC under direction/scope from the CARE Team related to disruptive behaviors to the community. Regardless, the goal would be to provide wrap around support and comprehensive intervention for student success.
To make a report to the CARE Team, visit Report of Community Concern.
In collaboration with CHOICE Regional Health Network & Washington Health Benefit Exchange, the Student Assistance Coordinator can help students access and engage with their health insurance to better access services and gain health literacy.
