The Art of Giving Gala & Auction
SATURDAY, MARCH 10, 2018
Foss Waterway Seaport—Tacoma, Washington
6:00 – 9:30 pm
You’re invited to make a world of difference. Students right now are ready to become stewards of communities across the globe, but they may not have the financial means to make their dreams come true. For those students, their journey begins with your generosity.
Last year, supporters like you answered the call to support those journeys, investing more than $200,000 in our Annual Scholarship Fund. Together, we have the opportunity to do it again.
Evergreen’s Global Impact
Locally, our alumni are making significant change. For example, Melanie White ’14, a social entrepreneur who empowers the Latino immigrant community. Melanie’s ambitious plan enables residents of the Hillside community in Centralia, Wash. to improve their economic outlook through literacy, access to computer technology, and affordable home ownership.
Evergreen alumni are creating global impact, too. Look at Michelle Glatt ’95, who is promoting healthcare and sustainability in the tiny rural town of Ollantaytambo, Peru. “Your options for health shouldn’t be determined by where you were born,” she says.
Sponsor the Art of Giving
The Art of Giving Gala is an opportunity for local businesses to invest in the vitality of our region and in the future stewards who will help shape our global community. We’re pleased to offer a variety of sponsorship packages that spotlight your commitment to student success. Each option features high-value exposure and strategic brand positioning for your organization. Your generosity will shine in front of an audience of influencers and leaders who reward community support.
About the Art of Giving
The Art of Giving is The Evergreen State College Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, benefiting scholarships and educational opportunities for Evergreen students across Olympia, Tacoma and Western Washington. Contributions from donors, alumni, friends and businesses enhance the quality of the Evergreen experience and provide access for many students who might not otherwise be able to afford a college education.
