Perkins Loan Servicing

The Perkins Loan program is a federal student loan program managed by colleges. If you have Perkins Loans, your lender is The Evergreen State College.

Note: the Perkins Loan program is ending. Financial Aid applications for the 2016 – 17 school year will be the last opportunity to receive a Perkins Loan.

We work with University Accounting Service (UAS) to manage Perkins Loans. Visit the UAS website for:

  • Exit interviews
  • Account information
  • Payments and scheduling
  • Deferments and cancellation

If you graduate, or drop below half-time enrollment, or stop attending Evergreen, you will need to complete exit counseling and plan for repayment. Perkins Loans have a nine-month grace period. These loans also have generous deferments for hardship, including unemployment, and options for total cancellation.

If you have problems with your loan or can’t get your concerns heard at UAS, you can contact Evergreen’s Perkins Loan office and talk to someone here. We want you to stay in good standing and keep good credit.
