Peter Bohmer


Peter Bohmer teaches political economy and economics at the Evergreen State College. His research and teaching interests include the political economy of racism, alternate economic systems,  Latin American political economy including Venezuela and Cuba, the U.S. economy, labor studies, social movements  and Marxism. He has been active in social movements since 1967. He has a B.S. in Economics with a minor in Math from M.I.T., and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
