Learn the fundamentals of web design with HTML and CSS. We'll learn to code web sites directly, applying best practices for accessibility, visual communication, and good design. We'll focus on typography and text handling, and we'll spend some time on specific writing styles for the web.
The course will consist of coding workshops in a computer classroom. Students may participate remotely with prior arrangement with faculty.
This course is repeated Fall and Winter quarters. Students should not register for more than one quarter of Web Design but may be interested to continue with more advanced work in Advanced Web Design in spring quarter.
