Learn the fundamentals of web design with HTML and CSS. We'll learn to code web sites directly, applying best practices for accessibility, visual communication, and good design.  We'll focus on typography and text handling, and we'll spend some time on specific writing styles for the web. We'll also explore template design for generated content.

This course is repeated Fall and Winter quarters. Students should not register for more than one quarter.

To successfully participate in this program, students will need a computer with Mac, PC, or Linux OS, and a reliable internet connection. Students can expect our remote teaching to be around 3 hours of synchronous (scheduled) coursework per week, using Canvas and Zoom. Students will have access to alternatives to synchronous participation if conditions require.
