Do you have an interest in creating films or video projects? Are you working on a project, but need some skills sharpened?  This hands-on field production course is designed for beginners and intermediate students, who are looking to gain or hone production skills in camera, sound, and lighting.  It can appeal to students or community members interested in fiction and non-fiction media production, or anyone looking to incorporate video aspects into their field of study. Students will have access to digital video cameras, sound mixers and lighting kits to practice a variety of production exercises. The course is mid-summer and a perfect opportunity for Evergreen students and community members to learn practical skills they can incorporate into future projects, a parallel ILC, or work in any field. It can be taken as an 8-credit option with Film Development and Writing Intensive.

Specific activities include: directing/producing, location recording, composition and framing, sound mixing, field lighting, hand-held and tripod camera work, interview practice, directing/producing.

No prior knowledge of video is required, but those with prior experience or basic production skills are encouraged to take the course, which can be scaled for their level.
